Performed stress analyses pertaining to four large, bulk solid storage silos, each of which has structural variations. The analyses were not exhaustive, none-the-less allowed the client to obtain an indication of the magnitude and location of high stress areas. Including the additional superstructures, the total height of some of the silos is roughly equivalent to a twelve story building. The loads on the silos include the bulk solid, wind, snow and superstructure. A non-disclosure agreement remains in effect for the structural details. |
