Excellence in Engineering Analysis

Assisted in the design of a "Brake Traction Trailer" for General Motors. A non-discloser agreement remains in effect.

Work on this product included:

1. Preliminary stress analysis of the trailer chassis;
   

2. Constructing a detailed solid model for three of its five main assemblies;
   

3. Performing numerous design iterations on the solid model;
   

4. Creating related assembly and manufacturing drawings; and
   

5. Performed natural frequency analysis on the trailer.
   

General Motors has approved the design, and two trailers have been manufactured. The Firestone Tire & Rubber Company has purchased the second trailer. During preliminary tests, a problem with the loading mechanism was observed under certain conditions. Due to limited funds, our company was not asked to become involved with solving the problem.
